Embroidery

Adding more embroidery for narrative purposes onto apron one ‘Monday’. Trying to incorporate different thicknesses of threads to add textural interest. The straps on the apron are extra long so that they can cover part of the floor when installed for the Degree show. I hope to hook the apron from a hanging rail and let some of the cloth rest on a plinth.

A part of my husband’s working from home also involves me helping to provide meals and drinks to keep him going! In some respects, this apron, when installed will hopefully look like it is having a well-earned rest at the end of a busy day.

Sticking to the original colour palette that was inspired from some blue sky (which I am looking forward to seeing again at some point!). I think we are all looking forward to the return of some spring weather.
